Le Secret Tumblog

In the unlikely event that you are not Jenny, you should not have found this. If you have? Shh, it's a secret.

The above now seems to be invalid. *Facepalm* IT IS STILL SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET THOUGH.

For Jenny.

“Subject X.U… Xu, you love him, don’t you?” she asked. I found myself staring blankly at her. Love? That was a word that Emily had never taught me, one I had never heard before. Without conscious decision I found my head cocking to the side as I stared at her, finding my own curious expression reflected in the glass within the frames on her face.

“Love?” I repeated. “I don’t understand”

“Ah, did Emily not teach you that one either?” she asked. “It seems she was slacking on your education. Though, love seems to be difficult to explain. Perhaps you ought to begin by telling me how you feel about… Xu, what you think of him”

It had been my turn to pause, a fond smile creeping onto my expression. What did I think of Xu? Though I had once been terrified of him, I had quickly come to appreciate how beautiful he was. His hair was so bright in contrast to the darkness they were often left in, and the way it kinked and curled as it grew out only added to its charm, even if he seemed to disagree and attempt to rid himself of it when it got in his way. His eyes were another story; the only way I had learned to read his emotions, where his expression did not change. They were so dark, so deep that I found it almost too easy to lose myself in them. And then there was his personality. Though he was known as problematic and although he seemed to enjoy teasing me, riling me up, he could make me smile like no other, could brighten any day and make me forget my pain with a simple embrace or a rarer smile. The latter easily took my breath away.

“I think Xu is wonderful,” I replied at last, summarising my feelings in the only way I knew how to. “Like no other”

“I thought as much,” Stella responded dispassionately. “What you feel for him, would you consider it a lot stronger than liking him?”

Another pause on my part; I had liked Emily, I knew that much, and I liked Dr. Vayne for all she had done for me. Without her, I would not have possessed a voice. Without her, I would never have been given the opportunity to get to know Xu. But Xu was different to them. What I felt for Xu I had no word for. Was that what Stella was trying to say? The missing word was ‘love’?

‘My arm left arm was a work in progress. It had started simply enough, with a metallic something-or-other on my upper arm. Then a few months later it had grown with the addition of connecting gears and tubes. This had been ongoing for years now, slowly spreading down my arm. It had just gone past my elbow a few months ago. I wondered what the bastard was doing. A clockwork arm? Really?’

Snippet the Third

Or rather, the end of that section. Another Xu/Ai thing, although it’s really just Ai in this one, before he was known as such, and the first time he meets the person who will essentially be the villain of sorts in le project. >.> This be the end of a 10,000 word unedited nano thing, so please bear with any silly mistakes. Might throw the start of the next section up after this, given this is rather short. Hmm. Or go through and edit stuff.

…Or, you know, stop procrastinating and finish the app I’m supposed to be doing.

And done.

Much of le stuff I posted has now been taken down. I have removed all of the Ritz nano and the Xu & Ai stuff. Nano resulted in me getting another 20,000 words or so of the Xu & Ai project down, so will throw another snippet or two up at some point, though most of it will not see tumblr for obvious reasons. If people want to read it… well, I suppose I can show it to them at some point? xD Given that I’m pretty sure I know all muh followers. And for people that do not follow und just stalk… >_> STOP CREEPIN’.
